When Love Wasn’t Enough, by Tyler Cedric Golden Subscribe to rss feed for Tyler Cedric Golden

It’s fantastic being together me and you,
We’ve started life anew,
Just like another chance at being born or in other words
rebirth,
We are back on Mother Earth,
We always have a fun time me and you,
Man you are just so amazingly beautiful I hope you realize
how much I can’t wait for you to say I do,
Because I have a secret I hide deep beneath
And it has to do with a beautiful ring,
It will be so exciting when I ask the question,
Hopefully you don’t think I’m just messin,
I will ask you under the stars,
When it is dark in the park,
The Moon will be glistening
And you’ll be happily listening,
As I prepare myself I walk to your house,
While I wait for you to get ready, I sit on the couch
And then we walk to the park both as quiet as a mouse,
Then all of the sudden I hear you scream,
I look up and see a man in dark cover,
Only for me to discover,
That this is a horrible night,
As he raises his gun toward you and fires I jump with all my
might,
The bullet goes through my chest,
During the night’s mystical crest,
The robber runs as you scream,
We both wish this was a dream,
You look at me with tears in your eyes,
Knowing I am going to die,
While my sight goes faint, I tell you it’s alright and
that I will and forever love you,
You tell me sorrowfully you love me to,
The air escapes my body and I lay there,
With nothing left but a blank stare,
You stay crying over me,
Then you see the sparkling ring,
That fell out of my pocket,
It was so beautiful no other ring could top it,
Anger and deep depression from this event enters your body
mind and even to the depth of your soul,
You feel your life has been ruined with nothing in your
heart but a bottomless hole,
Everything worked for and the true love in your life now
gone,
A bus for vengeance you swear to ride on,
For revenge is the only thing you feel left in the presence
of your existence,
Your chance at happiness and this person made you miss it,
But I’m sorry; I know it’s tough,
And it’s hard to believe our love wasn’t enough.

I have to say that this poem was very well written. You seem to have a way of making your poems come alive and to make your reader become aware and feel the emotions that pour out of your poems. Good Job.
