Black And White, by MrsPeterson
|
There's a black and white photo
Hanging on my wall
I know this person well
But I'm not sure how
She helped me from my car
When I crashed beside a hill
She pulled me out
She saved my life
I never saw her again
Until just yesterday
Looking through a photo album
At my grandmothers house
I see the girl
Standing there
I look at the back
There is a note for me
"My little one
I am just your babysitter
And when you grow
Even when you think
You don't need me anymore
I'll always be there
Watching over you"
As I stare into her eyes
Grandmother interrupts
"She died
When you were young."
A tear rolls down my cheek
As I look into the eyes
Of the guardian angel
I never knew I had |
