i will never forget, by Teresa Subscribe to rss feed for Teresa

I remember it so well, so clearly, its so vivid and fresh in
my mind.
I remember the sound of your high pitched but angel like
voice, that made me smile.
The sound of your laughter when I made u laugh.
Its almost like a dream now, a dream I shall never forget.
I remember the day you were taken from me and the excuses
they gave us… “we did all we could… we just couldn’t
get to her in time…”
I remember what your blackened, burnt, smoke stained house
looked like after you were gone…
The broken ash covered glass that scatter the driveway and
the burdened plants that lay in ash.
I remember looking into your brown eyes as you day dream
about the future… not knowing there wouldn’t be one.
I remember how much you loved the color green… and how
ecstatic you were when you saw the bright vivid green
leaves and plants in the spring.
I remember how you were always there for me and how I looked
up to you like an older sister even though we were in the
same grade.
I remember how they told me.. You were gone forever! And how
I couldn’t breath
I wouldn’t… I couldn’t believe them
I sat n waited for you to walk through that door of the
cafeteria… but you never did.
I remember saying “goodbye… see you tomorrow.” but
tomorrow never came… for you.
