And Again, by Tyler Cedric Golden Subscribe to rss feed for Tyler Cedric Golden

And again

You wake up to start what people call a new day,
You get up like you usually do, get ready, and walk away,

And again

You get set to do your daily routine and go to work,
You move around quietly, not even trying to flirt,

And again

You’re in a marriage, and have kids growing up like you
did,
Except now they have nicer toys and nicer cribs,
But it doesn’t matter for you do the same routine almost
everyday,
You don’t get to do anything new, like hang out on a
tropical island or at the bay,

And again

You get up, get ready, go to work, and come home,
Along with the essentials, but at least you are not alone,
And also be happy that you are still alive, for the ones you
care,
Even though it may always be the same, they wouldn’t
dare,
To wish that you were gone,
Because each day you build upon that bond,

And again

Even though what you do always seems the same as before,
You still get to see your love ones smile, right when you
walk through your home's door.
