I Wouldn't Know, by MrsPeterson Subscribe to rss feed for MrsPeterson

I had to write a paper today
For my english class
I sat staring at my paper
Tears falling from my eyes
Other children writing quickly
Smiles accross there faces
I read the topic again
But I'm still at this conclusion
I wouldn't know

I sat at home all night
Staring at the paper
Boxes and photo albums spilled all over the floor
Still it was missing
The topic was all too much
Pencil in hand
Nothing in mind
Nothing in memory
Reading the topic again
I'm still at this conclusion
I wouldn't know

The teacher made us read aloud today
The reports we were to write
My paper still here untouched
Completely blank
Like my memories
The teacher calls my name
And I quickly jot down what I thought of
As I stand in front of the class
I clear my throat
And wipe the tear from my cheek
I read aloud the title
Followed by a pause

"My Family"........... "I wouldn't know"
