"Trains Never Leave Us" / by Marsha L. VonderBrink, by marsha Subscribe to rss feed for marsha

Trains never pull away from the station
and just leave us
if we miss a train it is because
we leave the train, it doesn't leave

there is always an engineer
calling out what station were at
if it doesn't suit us
we sit right where we are at

we must love the clacking of the wheels
the round of the curve, the feel
smoke of the engine, seats of leather
scent of luxury, must be to us a tether!
