Remeber me when your lonely 
remember you make me smile
and please remeber i am no phony
and ill be back in but a little while

When the tears begin to run
from lack of my hoarse voice
remember my heart you have won
for me there is no other choice

Then the girl i leave in tears 
standing at the runway
as my heart her gaze seers 
i remind her i will be back in days

i remind her i am her dark knight
though she need no reminder
i show her things in a different light
i seal up her heart in my poetry binder

No one truer will she ever find
i promise that in confidence
though leaving puts me in a bind
i love her no less

than the day i laid eyes upon her
and her crooked smile brought out mine
She sees me not as a mangy cur
but a being to her that is divine

I leave now with the words of returning
and these words i plan on keeping
for her my heart will be burning
though while gone our heart will be weeping
