White Flowers, by Rangr Subscribe to rss feed for Rangr

Let white flowers bloom all around earth,
Wakening world arise for peace,
Amber light suffuse the morning dust,
And flowers stretch from the arms of slumber.
Let the child wake up from the mother's morning cuddle,
And let the whole world awaken to the child's first sleepy
smile of the morning.

The great music of winds, and songs that rain sings,
Can they ever please one as does a single moment of
silence?

Billions of melodies and sweet words of the poet,
Can they ever bear the meaning of a single drop of tear?

Let white flowers bloom all around earth,
Wakening world arise for peace,
Amber light suffuse the morning dust,
And flowers stretch from the arms of slumber.
Let the child wake up from the mother's morning cuddle,
And let the whole world awaken to the child's first sleepy
smile of the morning.

Where a child stretches her small palm - Ask a thousand
moons to appear!

Where a war-worn humanity tired rests - Ask the white Koel
to sing!

Let white flowers bloom all around earth,
Wakening world arise for peace,
Amber light suffuse the morning dust,
And flowers stretch from the arms of slumber.
Let the child wake up from the mother's morning cuddle,
And let the whole world awaken to the child's first sleepy
smile of the morning.

-Adapted from a song "Vellai Pookal", sung by A.R.Rehman in
a Tamil Movie.
