FRIEND TO THE END, by karen straker Subscribe to rss feed for karen straker

I have poured my soul into you,
Loving you with a love that has no end,
I have given you my all,
Leaving me empty,
Desolate,
You came with your charm,
Until...
Until my heart opened,
And spilled from my tongue,
The words that only a loving heart,
Would want to express,
I gave you my best,
Maybe you lied,
So you could go,
I would have believed anything from a tongue so sweet,
That melted my lips,
That moved my hips,
That embraced my finger tips,

I have given you my everything,
You have given me nothing,
But broken promises,
A convenient end,
A broken heart,
In so many pieces,
You attempted to murder my love,
When all I ever gave you was..... everything,
The connection came to an end,
My friend,
Yet I am foolishly in love,
Still,
I hurt,
When you hurt,
I cry,
When you cry,
I would give you your hearts desire,
Even if it's not me,
So long as you are happy,

I am a woman in love,

Blind

Lost

Empty

Speechless

No words can express,
My Unhappiness,
In love all by myself,
You brought me to the edge,
You caressed my body,
You gave me the ecstasy,
The intimacy,
That look into my eyes,
Romantic side,
And walked away,
Leaving me there,
You saw me fall,
I surrendered to your call,

But I am still the friend,

Whose love will never end,

Whose lips did not pretend,

But whose heart may never mend.
