Inside My Head, by ♥ Leah ☺ Subscribe to rss feed for ♥ Leah ☺

If this is my home,
Then where is my heart?
The race has begun,
But where do I start?
Please can you tell me why I am here?
But you have nothing to say.
The words are on the edge of your tongue,
But they are words you cannot convey.
When confusion runs deep and your sight has gone blind,
To the world you saw- but that was all in your mind.
The truth is right there, but no one can see.
We are all pretending, and no one is free.
As the light simply fades,
And the excitement dies down.
You begin to cry a river of tears,
And within them you drown.
All the loneliness built up,
Over the past few years.
You try to scream out,
 However nobody hears.
Is this what it comes down to?
Just a big empty space.
And a city of disappointments,
That you alone have to face.
All the fake lonely smiles,
And all their hollow black souls.
 You are trying to escape,
 But you've lost all control.
 All the lies and deceit,
 Are consuming your mind.
You try to shake them off,
But you can't leave them behind.
And the only thing you really know.
The truth more than anything else.
That there is only one person that you truly hate,
And that person is yourself.
