I Am Told, by SMILING DARKNESS Subscribe to rss feed for SMILING DARKNESS

I am told, thin is beautiful.

I am shown; love is just a competition of skin and bones.

Pretty is an action.

And ugly is a burn.

Red beads mean you’re skinny.

Black beads say you eat.

If you dare touch that apple, the pig’s soul shall reap.

Life is at the fullest, when you feel that hunger rush.

It tells you that you’re changing.

But you still do weigh too much.

People will not judge you, as harshly as they do.

If you were just skinny, they wouldn’t mind your tacky
words.

In fact, you’d be a goddess.

And be sung to by the birds.

I guess you can say that beauty does not come from within.

I guess I am told being fat is a criminal sin.
