Step Through It, by LostSoul Subscribe to rss feed for LostSoul

You talk of how troubled your life is
And how it would be so easy if you can get this
And that
And as of matter of fact
If you could live your life like hers or his

But if you think about it
Don't you have a roof on your head
Clothes on your back
And you're not a quack
Okay maybe a little quirky at times
But you haven't snapped

So don't drown in your own self pity
Especially if your handsome or pretty

Cause you haven't been to where others have
Where each day is a struggle to survive
And each moment is life or death
So save your breath
No more excuses and not gettin' out of bed
You need to shed
Those lonely tears
Those long lost fears
Of being alone through the years

We've all been through some hard times
Who hasn't
It doesn't matter if your rich or poor
Trust me when I say everyone has been down on all fours
Tears dripping to the floor
Asking God to take you so you can soar

But no one is gonna do it for you
You gotta want it for yourself
And the best part is, you can create your own self

So if you feel like giving up
Don't
Don't even think about it
Just get up, and step through it
