Trapped, by *~Mik@y1@~* Subscribe to rss feed for *~Mik@y1@~*

Help me I'm trapped.
Caught between a rock and a hard place.
Every way I turn
There's an obstacle in my face.

I scream for help.
No one hears me here.
The sound bounces off the barriers.
Echoing my plea as a jeer.

I'm normally a positive person,
But the glass is starting to be half empty.
Slowly the sadness and grief
Creep and crawl and threaten to take over me.

My sanity hangs on for dear life,
While the darkness pulls tight.
I struggle to stand firm
In the fading light.

I'm pulled in so many directions
Like a child's doll.
My seams are worn and tearing.
Soon they may not hold at all.

I'm in a period of darkness.
The light continues to come and go.
It stays only for a fleeting moment
Just a brief glow.

Harsh words and tense silences
Cut into me and scar.
They leave noticeable marks-
Evidence of the battle I've endured so far.

My life is like a sad Soap Opera,
Except everything is true.
I can't just change the channel
And choose something else to view.

I'm trapped in this place.
I can't seem to get out.
I try to escape, but my efforts fail
Day in and day out.

It's near impossible to see
The trap I'm stuck in.
I'm such a good actress
That you can't tell where I've been.

Now you know what this hardship has done
If you didn't know before.
So just be a comfort and give support
Until the pain is no more. ©
