Why do you want to hurt me
You have so much hatred and spite
We are not so different, you and I
We don’t need to fight

I don’t know what I did to hurt you
To make you hate me so
I am truly sorry for everything
I don’t want to be your foe

Or so my mom says
But there are no excuses 
For causing so much pain

I hurt you, so you hurt me
This cycle could go on forever
Why don’t we just stop
Don’t say it will never happen

We can truly be friends
If we just try
