Shattered, by ShastaGirl Subscribe to rss feed for ShastaGirl

Its believed that time can heal all wounds
To me, this is a false claim
Because once something gets shattered
It never works the same

The tears are swelling behind my eyes
That I don’t want the world to see
All our laughs and memories
Are drowning inside of me

I’ve got no choice but to live with the pain
Spending time in the back of my mind
Searching the past and the present
For answers I know I won’t find

I’m trying to piece my heart back together
Missing pieces that I left with you
I’m trying to move on in spite of the hurt
I just wish I had you to look forward to
