me & peter, by Amber Subscribe to rss feed for Amber

She walks onto the bus
Her eyes on nothing in particular
When he looks up, smiles,
And waves.

Days go by,
It becomes a routine
And while she sits there,
Headphones playing what is to him
A mystery,
She thinks.

Something will come out of this
By the end of the year.
Sit back and enjoy the ride
All else to do is wait.

One day she realizes
It could have been anyone.
He chose her.
She interested him.
He noticed her.

Their interest in each other grew.
Prom goes by, she went with him,
Proof of what she already knew.

She realizes then that she had been right,
Something had come out of it.

And now here they are,
A year has passed,
Though they’re still not together.
She needs to tell him how she feels,
But the time is never right.

Don’t let this moment pass you by,
Don’t always take your sweet time.
What you know may not be what he knows,
And you don’t ever want to see him go.
