dealing with city, by raven Subscribe to rss feed for raven

there i am sleeping.

in my dreams i don't have to deal
then my alarm clock makes me get real.
outside it's foggy but the message is clear.
do i have to deal with the busy
the busy city
(why why why why why-y-y-y)
(why why why why why-y-y-y)
all the time i just wanna rest
but the world keeps spinning and i try my best
the city is winning theres no contest
dealing with the city
the busy city
(why why why why why-y-y-y)
(why why why why why-y-y-y)
all the people pushing past me i start to cry.
then everybody stops and askes me why
i can't stop but i sure do try
is it just me
in this busy city
(why why why why why-y-y-y)
(why why why why why-y-y-y)
now i know why the city is the place i call home
there's everywhere and everything you just have to roam
it's right next door to that ocean foam
i know i know i know i know i know i know now
i know who what when where why and how
i know up and out and all around
because this is my ho-o-o-ometown
