IT ALL HAPPENED SO FAST, by maile Subscribe to rss feed for maile

Growin' up in house with
7 girls and 1 boy
my parents couldn't always afford to buy each of us a toy

while strugglin' as the economy was goin' down
my moms smile never turned into a frown

dad was always working late
but what kept my family togetha' was faith

he worked his hardest to get us what we wanted
ma' shoes ma' clothes ma' home
yup he bought it

and mom was always teaching us right from wrong
she took us to church, preached us God's word
and made us sing Sunday school songs

she was always at home takin' care of us
she was like a best friend
someone you can trust

she could never leave our side
and now I cant sleep since the day she died

i love and miss her and want her back so much
my stomach aches as if I hadnt ate lunch

now we're all grown up
all 8 kids.. yup

it all happened so fast
as if one minute we were just babys
and then it had just past

everyones now doin' their own thang
hopefully ma' bro doesn't join a gang

with so much depression
i cant get ma skoo right
i have to start the next setion
coz i started a fight

cant get things right
i think im losin ma mind
but i have to seek the light
coz i cant take theres no way to rewind
