I Want You to Know (October 25, 2009 5:33-6:00pm), by Amber Subscribe to rss feed for Amber

Dear You,
I've always wanted someone to notice me for me.
Someone to understand who I really am.
Someone to be interested in me.
I'm glad you could see

That I'm not like the rest.
No, I'm different.
You're different, too.
You're one of a few

Nice guys,
The ones who finish last.
You're not last in my eyes,
You're not one to tell lies

Or make me feel bad.
You'd tell the truth,
I know you would.
And you should

Not give up on me.
Please, not yet.
I've liked you for a long time.
We can make it through this climb

Together.
Me and you.
I like the way those words roll off my tongue.
Remember, we're not too young

To fall in love.
Believe me,
I may have messed up in the past,
But because I was afraid we wouldn't last

Forever.
I was nervous, I was shy.
But I've wanted to take the chance
Since that first glance

On the bus my freshman year.
I hope you don't think that I don't like you,
Because I do.
I want to be with you

While we grow older.
I want you to know how grateful I am that you're in my
life.
And that I've liked you from the start.
I think I knew that deep down in my heart

I wasn't ready then.
I'm ready now.
I think you can see.
Forever, Me.
