I dreamed last night,
I dreamed last night that i held your hand
So precious and soothing,
So happy and real,
Only it was just a dream.

I dreamed last night,
I dreamed last night that i cried a thousand tears,
So dreary and heart-felt,
So choking and weary,
Only was it just a dream?

I saw you this morning,
walking into class,
My heart leapt at your presence,
so pretty and pure,
so pleasent i want more,
Only it was just real life,
nothing more for me.

Dreams and reality,
How can dreams tempt me so?
Yet haunt me so?
The bliss of you,
The despair of never having you,
how can dreams be so cruel?
Yet so peaceful?
How can life tease me so,
a mouse in a cats' paw?

Only in dreams
Only in real life
The two get mixed up often,
My emotions blur,
I love you,
I hate you,
Only in dreams....

That is beautiful! *wipes away tears* I now know I am not alone in my despair. Dreams too tend to blur, especially when you yearn for them to come true... anyway, *cough* wonderful poem!

Omg I loved this poem. You seem like some one I know form my school her name is Des too. lol. But I just had to say I loved this poem it makes me think about my ex!

Very imaginary I see...I wrote a poem entitled "Dreams" too..this is nice..I like it..
