Sleeping Soundly, by girlinthefrostedmirror Subscribe to rss feed for girlinthefrostedmirror

Sometimes when it’s late
And I watched a scary movie,
I am hesitant to close my eyes
So I listen real careful.

To the sound of the ice machine in the kitchen,
MIIRNAOW-KK-KUR-CHUNK!

My sister rolling into her bedside wall,
ThUnK
ThUnk.

The fathers soft snoring,
Dr-ownnne, dr-ownnne.

And my brother talking,
MEYOWNOWOOOWHANA, OOOLY ZIG ZONE YA
OOOOO NANWA, GIGGLY GIGGY POOHWOOOPA,
SLICE!

And I close my eyes knowing that
Murders wouldn’t dare kill us in our beds.
