Hidden Pain., by StoryOfAGirl Subscribe to rss feed for StoryOfAGirl

she had been broken beyond repair.
she could do nothing more than stare,
off into the emptiness surrounding her.
no matter what, the pieces wouldn't fit together.

because,
she didn't want to hear.
she couldn't bear to see.
she was scared of what she'd feel.
she was terrified of who she'd be.

everytime she tried to fix it all,
he wound up watching it fall.
crashing, burning.
crumbling, churning.

because,
she didn't want to hear.
she couldn't bear to see.
she was scared of what she'd feel.
she was terrified of who she'd be.

each day remained the same as the last.
she wanted desperately to erase her horrid past.
nothing was all she could feel.
she prayed it wasn't real.

because,
she didn't want to hear.
she couldn't bear to see.
she was scared of what she'd feel.
she was terrified of who she'd be.

she'd shrug it off, pretend she was fine.
no one ever realized she would lie.
until the day she was gone.
she tried-but couldn't hold on.

because,
she didn't want to hear.
she couldn't bear to see.
she was scared of what she'd feel.
she was terrified of who she'd be.

and she couldn't see anything more.
nothing was worth fighting for.
the end came easily.
and in death, she will rest peacefully.

because,
she didn't want to hear.
she couldn't bear to see.
she was scared of what she'd feel.
she was terrified of who she'd be.

the worst part of everything,
is the pain she would bring.
because she couldn't even say goodbye.
she left them all to cry.
