Red Sleep. Infidelity., by Anathema Subscribe to rss feed for Anathema

a gasp for breath, metallic sheen
contrasting with the paleness of the skin
a gasp of pleasure, cold, and hard, and sharp,
it burns, rough across the smoothness of my heart
final exhiliration,
exhalation, it's so beautiful.
i'll see you soon, somewhere,
anywhere is better than this hell.

wine permeating soft white sheets
burgundy-red where the pale threads meet
bloodstains marking the whole bed's breadth
my last gift to you, so savor my last breath
i apologize, i never told the truth,
and i've always been so cruel to you
you won't have to worry about me anymore,
sleep well, your lifeless whore lies right next to you.
steel, and flesh, and skin so torn.
this faithless heart will beat no more.
