These Stairs, by Origin Subscribe to rss feed for Origin

"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of
death, I shall fear no evil" psalm 23:4

I reawaken self esteem as I play with the devil.
He shoots me in the heart as his fiery eyes glare.
I walk down these steps you might know them as hell's
stairs.
I squeeze and pull try to make the pain stop.
This is not what I imagined
The Fading heart stops.

I see the white light expecting it might save me
It turns into a red one, My speed starts to increase.
I thought it was the decrease of my dissension.
But It turns into different action
I think once about life and twice about death.
It’s hard to remember to catch ones breath

I land face first into solid ground moaning
I rise up shaking and look around slowly
Out of the darkness I hear a voice call me
It comes from a door. Cold yet calming
I open it unprepared
And make my descent down these stairs
