Thoughts As You Fall Asleep, by Don't build lies on ice cubes. Subscribe to rss feed for Don't build lies on ice cubes.

Pause a while as the day starts to unwind
In troubled thoughts, an answer you'll find
Throughout the hours, a fickle heart
Does differ depending upon whose apart
The morn started with a longrunning name
Never contemplated an end to their game
But all of a sudden their view has turned
Perhaps I'll be rewarded with what I yearned
But that was then and this is now
Another has altered my perspective somehow
And he is close enough to see
Whilst the other is just a fantasy
The more I ponder, the more I am sure
What was a dream can be no more
Each time they know I pull away
They tell me something to make me stay
Both of us know that it just cant be real
Especially when for others we feel
Then to further injure my digressed thought
From a dying flame I was quickly caught
Yet in a position of unstable hand
Confusing the position on which I stand
Today that flame flickered slight
Know Ive fought it with all my might
Looked into the eyes of a memory lost
And in doing so I forgot the cost
We've always been two to never think
It now happens he's my weakest link
But my mind has become strong to rule
And it wont let my heart play the fool
So back to he who stands so near
Thoughts and feelings become everclear
Well weakness and dream now leave my mind
And from troubled thoughts, an answer I find
