Grandpa, by kaykey Subscribe to rss feed for kaykey

Grandpa you were my life,
And now you’re gone,
I need you here,
We all do.

You were my world,
And now your not here,
You disappeared from the face of the earth,
And I wonder where you went.

Grandpa I have all these memories,
I don’t know where to begin,
But my favorite memory of you is,
When you said “This year I am going to catch Santa
Claus.”

You always said “I am going to the candy store.”
We all knew where you were going,
No more you, no more house,
No more anything but memories.

Grandpa you are watching me,
And I wish I could see you,
All I have is my locket,
But that doesn’t help.

I pass the house and wonder,
If you were still here,
Would you still live in that house?

That bright blue front door,
Never locked, always open,
Anyone could visit,
But no one can now.

Grandpa people always ask me,
If I could have one person back,
Who would it be, and I always say,
My grandpa because I never got to say,
Goodbye.

I love you,
I miss you,
And all I can say now is,
Goodbye.
