You Smoke, We Choke, by Robin Goodwin Subscribe to rss feed for Robin Goodwin

You walk through the door and into the room
And the smell of the smoke is so stale.
The thick cloud of smoke from the people inside
Is no longer fresh air that you’re about to inhale.

In pubs and cook houses, even the home
Are the places you’ll find this nicotine habit.
There’s very few places that people don’t smoke
It’s a non smokers nightmare you will never forget it.

Cigarette ash walked into carpets and floors
Burn marks from carelessly dropped fags.
It’s the dirtiest habit ever invented
those nicotine junkies live for those drags.

Ask any smoker to burn five pound notes
They’ll just say you are stark raving mad.
Many spend thousands of pounds in a year
Which they burn just inches away from their head.

The warnings on packets that smoking can kill
Cancer and smoking are closely related.
But those addicts won’t listen to any advise
They think that these claims are way overstated.

Their lungs quickly fill with this nicotine tar
They struggle to breath and oh! That awful cough
Eventually their body can take it no more
Dying from cancer when their lungs had enough.

The cost to the world in monetary terms
Is nothing that their families will suffer.
We need to act now help them all kick the habit
By banning all smoking and make the law tougher.

Scientific evidence says non smokers fair worse
From the smoke that’s just been exhaled.
Your expected to breath this second hand smoke
Let down by society they’ve definitely failed.

If nature had designed us to smoke cigarettes
We’d be born with a chimney as well.
Your lungs were designed to breath the clean air
So why do they do it , no one can tell.

Some smokers will say, it alleviates stress
Others will say because all my friends do.
How many have counted the lives they have ruined
While their sucking this drug of nicotine brew.

The best way to stop smoking is never to start
And you’ll have more of that money to spend.
Ignore this advise it will cost you for sure
By bringing your life to a premature end.

This is REALLY GOOD! I am so sick of smokers... I just want to grab their shoulders and shake them and scream!
