Keeping Our Identity , by Robin Goodwin Subscribe to rss feed for Robin Goodwin

Bring back the days we all used to know
When Kelpers Dreams were realities.
When our old identity was still intact
When we lived our lives of happy memories.

Our way of life was sadly lost
Way back in eighty two.
A different breed has hit these shores
The no longer accept what we used to do.

Were often told we’re out of touch
That the world around us has moved on.
The good old days, the laid back style
We’re loosing fast and will soon be gone.

New people and often go
But changes they make don’t go with them.
And just like all the other times
The Kelpers Dream gets more mayhem.

We’re nearly outnumbered two to one
And each year the noose gets tighter.
How much longer can this go on
The survival fight has never been greater.

What can we do to change this tide
That is washing us away.
Can we have our identity back
There’s some out there will say.

We could but is it worth the while
The changes have caused so much upheaval.
Oh so much we desire the right
Look what it’s doing to our people.
