Shattered Lifeline, by CherryFender Subscribe to rss feed for CherryFender

It's so dark and desolate
in this cold, lonely heart
I feel it's like a wave crashing,
crushing this worn out body.

My hands are cold,
My body is numb,
The feeling is pain
while my eyes will blur.

Please.
Save me.
I want to breathe with no pain.

I'm praying.
I'm crying.
Stop this hurt from screaming.

It's clutching.
It's choking.
Don't let me drown in this.

My breathing shortened.
Myself shattered
Where can I break surface?

But now I feel a hand,
it's trying so hard to pull me out.

I may still be in this darkness
but now I'm treading water.
At least I feel a pulse
in this cold, dead feeling body.

You may feel you're not helping
or I'm not getting better...
In the moment I'm scared
but I feel arms of comfort
my own sigh of relief...

You keep me above the surface
although I'm still shattered
Just knowing you're there
calms me down to a heartbeat.

Like a breath of air
after sinking deep under
Like an injection of life
in veins of death...

So thank you,
you're simply there...
I've never had this before.

I may be shattered,
but not completely gone.
Please stay here.
I need you.
You're my lifeline.
