Golden Girl **Not written by me, but written for me**, by Alex J Subscribe to rss feed for Alex J

As said in title, this one is not written by me, but for me
:)

I’ve known her for
What seems like a lifetime
Every moment a pleasure
I only realise this now when I rewind.

Rewind the times,
Look back over them all.
How she was always there
Full of comfort, whenever I would fall.

 She helped me back up
Back on my feet
And helped me to realise
The mistakes which I shan’t repeat.

The most prominent of ones,
Being idiotic and stupid,
Was that I didn’t realise
For whom I’d been intended by cupid.

That little golden girl,
With the heart of kindness,
Who with a touch,
Can make me go mindless.

I never realised
How much I love her,
Until I thought of her smile
And now I know I wish for her and no other.

To be with her,
Hold her in my embrace.
Our warmth and love,
Transporting us to another place.

A place where her
Every movement
Is full of elegance
And grace.

How small a body
Can encompass such a soul
Of generosity and kindness,
I shall never know.

But I’m willing to try
And find out, know her better
So here I sit,
Writing this letter

To try unsuccessfully
To put into words
How my heart is now off,
Flying with the birds.

For your love makes me feel
Indescribably good.

Know forever that if there’s
Anything I can do I will.
For you, I would do anything
Because you make my heart fly
With you in the sky
