Sweet, Ripened Apples.

The sky snaps and
Night tumbles to the
pale earth, like a
Sweet, ripened apple from the
Loving arms of mother tree, or
a handsome wayfarer from
an arcane land,
who brings with
Exotic gifts of
rest and ominous calm, a
Great body of sunless liquid,
Splashing out over a yawning world.
Somewhere through the
Blinding quiet, a cat wails,
an engine groans, but
Ultimately, all is drowned out
In the epic
Silenceā€¦

Speckled flames shimmer in the heavens and
It is breathtaking, because
we do not understand them.
we gaze at them, and become like a
Young boy,
Mesmerised by the
Pretty girl, alas,
Unable to approach.
Should we have the wisdom or the
Barbaric nerve
we would shed our earthly skins and
Soar up to tell them how
Beautiful they are, how very
Exquisite they are, but
we cannot, yet.
Until then we loll here, the
long grass tickling our ears and necks,
Waiting for the horizon to explode.
