Irrelevant Poem

As gods found they were but
Human, we found we were
Sucking haplessly on broken glass, like
Worms in the deep, damp soil,
Chewing on death’s remains.

The stench of rotten flesh
Becomes us, for
Idle souls drown within themselves,
Asphyxiated on thoughts that were
Merely born of the mind,
They were enough to
Nail the coffins.

Trapped painfully between
Claustrophobic walls, constructed from
Songs wrought in the
Heads of all others.
The walls growing tall surround me
The worms chew upon my face, and
I cannot breath…
I cannot breath.
