Song-Jacob's song, by Katelyn7 Subscribe to rss feed for Katelyn7

He was a boy, of very few words.
No one could ever see him.
He thought he had no worth
All the beauty in the world was hidden in his eyes.
I sat and I watched him as he tried not to cry.
I tried to tell myself he was fine.
I tried to convince him that there was light.
But I knew the next morning would be long.

They world watched him fall, they pushed him to his knees.
I tried to help him up but he was too stunned to speak.
I told him to just breathe and get back on his feet.
He was already too unfaithful to believe.
The lullaby no one could sing, would soon bring him to
ease.
In the Morning he'd be gone.

I stared at his picture, Each line on his face.
Had a different story that was starting to tak plkace.
I could hear his screams in the middle of the night.
His face, it haunted me, As i turned off the light.
I closed my eyes and promised he was alright.
I prayed to God, he'd find his way before the morning's
light.

He turns the paper over.
He watches himself bleed.
He cries as he finally feels relief.
And he cries because for once he feels alright.
Jacob draws his last breath, at Morning's first light.
