The Ballad Of He And She, by Unique Disaster Subscribe to rss feed for Unique Disaster

She walks out onto the cobble road
Waiting for him to be alone
She pats her dress ever so lightly
And then breathes in oh so slightly

The streetlights dim down just a bit
As she is then struck by his wit
His charm his eyes his smiles is wide
As he take her by the side

‘I waited for you’ he first of all says
With a sparkle in his eye
Little did she have to know?
That’s the start of his lie

Not much makes her shiver more
Than his breathe on her neck
This man will turn her
Into a wreck

As she looks into his eyes
She suspects something wrong
Perhaps something is not right?
She then forgets and goes along

“I Love you my dear,” he whispers
Then first kiss, seconds then third
She is in shock cannot believe her ears
Did he just say that special word?

Is it love she thinks to herself?
Does she know how wrong she is?
She’s in love but is he?
Does he know her heart is his?

“Good bye I must leave”
Was the last thing he said,
Before he hid himself
From the lies he fed

She stood there in shock as
He is hidden away in the shadow of the night
She walks back home, confused
By her windowsill she will wait till light

Until he shows his face again
Until he walks into the day
Never shall she give her trust
To someone who goes away
