Burning Evening, by Invisible Poet Subscribe to rss feed for Invisible Poet

Flames fall across her shoulders like lace
Dancing about her body is an inferno
finding warm blood flushing my face
I am unable of looking away from the glow

The lick of heat following her every curve
sparks replace her eyes when we meet
remaining calm in her presence will test every nerve
am i capable of handling her heat?

She will become a blazing beacon of light
dancing atop a burning pyre
how lucky i must be this night
to be standing next to the beauty wrapped in fire
