Dedicated To The Birthday Girl (Poem), by YourEyesMyWords Subscribe to rss feed for YourEyesMyWords

The red haired girl,
thats stands there with a smile.
She's feeling a new doubled digit,
even if she'll only experience it for a year's while.

She is the girl,
that can be as hyper as a bunny covered in honey.
Yet she is also the girl that can touch you heart,
and spend a billion dollars on clothes with all ur money.

But what teen can't,
during a year like this.
Guys all around,
and friends you start to miss.

You try on new styles,
you want to know more about yourself.
You are a perfect girl,
placed to be looked upon on an imperfect shelf.

The energy flows through your system,
yet you will still find a reason to cry.
And even when guys can be jerks,
you will still find a reason to love him till you die.

You need to remember,
you will fall.
just as you have scrapped you knee when nine,
and put out ur hand when u needed it most of all.

So,
as i dedicate this,
to the birthday girl.
Let her dance and sing,
as she spins and twirls.

Smile girl,
you've gotta make it last through your teens.
Smile girl,
you are now at your sweet

                                                  SIXTEEN
