Melted Snowmen (Poem), by YourEyesMyWords Subscribe to rss feed for YourEyesMyWords

As the snow crystals brake,
and the snowflakes melt.
Water falls from the sky,
It is nothing of like what I've felt.

And as the clouds were written in lies,
The trees sing a slow song.
The bears rub their necks against the wall,
And the birds that fly are now finally gone.

The darkened shadows grow legs and walk,
Yet no word come out of anyones mouth.
And yet the dolphins can't grow wings anymore,
And yet the wind now turned around to go south.

From left to right,
and back again.
Insanity grows inside my head,
Nothing much more to gain.

And as i cough up all the bread in my heart,
The children take a break from their ball game.
I sit quietly on the summer bench,
Watching the snowmen melt...
