Happy Mother's Day (Poem), by YourEyesMyWords Subscribe to rss feed for YourEyesMyWords

To the darling woman,
standing there.
Arms opened wide,
with the wind in your hair.

You are now free to decide,
where your destination will lead.
Yet you still stay with us and love us,
until, from the nest, we are freed.

Freedom changes,
your love in undeniable.
You are beautiful and loving,
sweet and hug-able.

Your eyes are crystal,
shiny and gold.
And even when the world is dull,
i always have you to hold.

You are always there for me
and my family.
And no matter what i do,
your eyes always shine as you look at me.

A mother is a dear sweet gift,
from God above.
When you feel lost and all alone,
God sends down our mothers as a flock of doves.

The warmth of a simple hug,
a touch of a small kiss.
Hearing a short "I love you"
is my sweet and darling wish.

When i cry,
you hold me near.
If I'm in danger,
you come without fear.

And every time,
i smile.
You never are jealous,
not even for a while.

If there was only one thing
i had to tell you.
It would be three simple, little words,
"I love you"-It's true.

I Love You Mommy.
