An Invisible World (Poem), by YourEyesMyWords Subscribe to rss feed for YourEyesMyWords

we're all in our own little world,
yet we try and reach reality,
but always seem to fail.
we need a hand,
but instead fall deeper.
i look at the muddy soil,
and see a hand reaching out,
asking for a second chance.
i try and grab her,
yet she trips and falls.
We all live in an invisible world...

i see someone,
running from someone.
i try and ask who,
or what,
but she cannot talk.
i soon find out, that she is only running,
from her inner demon,
taunting her with temptations and curses.
we all live in an invisible world...

i see someone,
look at herself in the mirror,
and hides behind her gloves and tears.
long sleeves,
and a fake smile.
but if you take them off,
you'll be able to count all of her cuts,
each with a story of its own.
i try and tell her to come to me,
that i can help her,
she only responds with a simple statement:
"how can you help me, if you cannot even help yourself"
we all live in an invisible world...

...and an invisible world it is...

i had fallen on my knees,
cannot continue to run from myself,
or hide my own scars.
i realize,
that we are our own worst enemy,
a dark demon,
but finding the light,
in us all,
can sometimes,
alomst,
seem impossible...in the invisible world of reality.
