The One who Comes for Us, by Truly Waiting for Hope Subscribe to rss feed for Truly Waiting for Hope

The trees sing whispers while I sit and listen
I don't know how I got here, but at least I'm not slipping
While I wait for the sun to rise, I feel an emptiness I
can't describe
Then suddenly, the hope rings true
it comes a little, though slow and new
my long lost faith that hid away
that made me laugh and held the day
with one finger I point to the sky
and that small feeling comes back inside
I knew it was there, knew it was listening
that one day it would come back for me, whispering
whispering my fears away
and with that, I sigh, and say
with all my hope and faith
I will not quit and run, I will only hope for today
