the moon illuminate her face like a dark painting left on a
wall
she waits by the window looking on for her lost love, you
see a year ago he left to fight the war
leaving all that is his behind she waits her eyes deeply
intent with passion burning inside
a yearning that grabs hold of him that keeps him alive her
warmth he feels at night its as though they were never
separated or departed from each others sight
with each night coming to a close she wonder if the man she
knows is he the same before or has he changed becoming a
stranger in a far away home
but love always prevail their love it has never failed what
they have is real.
