The Hopeless Thief, by Naz Subscribe to rss feed for Naz

Born to be a thief by night and day;
The hopeless thief is filled with dismay;

Most of his life he use to steal;
Then their were times he wheeled and dealed;

'Im tired of stealing,' he said out loud;
Suddenly there appeared a heavenly cloud;

The sunbeams shon and alit his face;
It gave his heart a whole new space;

Detached from most of this world he became;
Some even said that he went insane;

Then he prayed 'Lord please redirect my life,
For the sake of my children and my wife';

And so the Lord cultivates man thro time;
In stages he sippes from the heavenly wine;

But the devil is bitterly agrieved;
That God removed his favourite thief;

So the devil sets traps by day and night;
Because the Lord has given him respite;

But the hopelesss thief was not only granted a new heart;
He was also and his entire family granted a new start;

Some say they left and went far away;
And have not yet returned until this day.
