anticipation fuelled by emptiness
waiting
talking to the gargoyle statue as if it will answer back one
day
wonder what it will say
memories resurfacing to mock my state of mind
subconcious on strike
and with a flash of lightning, powerful and unpredictable
i see life's meaning come and go
infinite bits and pieces at a time
fading away as abruptly as they arrived
sheltered
shielded by naive ignorance
carrying merely a stubborn will to survive as my only
weapon
observing the experience from third person perspective
the ageing process leaving me dumbfounded
despite my youth
what is one to do?

facts are facts
yet even the infallable can fail
the unthinkable can occur
opinion can be as correct as it can not
lies may prove true
death may be just around the corner
as it may be avoided
as may life
so what is one to do?

apatheticly hopeful
optimistic and reckless
walking down the path towards self-destruction
head up as high as it is low
emotions in a constant flux
talking to a gargoyle statue as if it will answer me one
day
wonder what it's gonna say
but there was no response again tonight
oh well, oh well
what is one to do?
