Never thought I'd see this night
Soul blackened from historical heartbreak
Hiding the pure, awakening deceit
Smirks between starry eyes

Am I as bad as them?
Spitting out words with false love
Smiling yet lying
Crying yet smiling

I justify my actions
In this deadly game
Where you either play or be played
Kill or be killed

Guilt escapes me
The target tastes his medicine
The by-product of a lesson taught
Bittersweet symphony, this act
