The Grey, by Unintended Subscribe to rss feed for Unintended

You nurtured for us
a world of vague grey
Yet I yearned for clarity
Promises in black and white

But there is true darkness
Cascading over your heart
Pale as death are my hands
From the absence of yours

Oh, but some grey is depicted
Remains of what could have been
Ash scattered by my bedside
Under wet pillows and loyal blankets

I'll still wish upon teasing stars
And the heartbreaking moonlight
That a guiding star finds your eye
To seek home in my heart
