Reese's, Our New Kitten, by jwhwz Subscribe to rss feed for jwhwz

We just received a gift of a new kitten;
And, boy, I am extremely smitten.
I came up with the name Reese's;
And, I really love her to pieces.
She has the colors of chocolate and peanut butter;
And, around the apartment; she does not putter.
She is either still or moving quickly;
She's wonderfully soft, and not at all prickly; to my funny
bone, she is tickly.
For, she moves around with quite a lot of action;
To my heart, she gives much satisfaction.
I try to balance kitty love so that the others get
attention;
Because, at first, the others were too jealous to mention.
But, they are starting to get along;
It makes my soul sing a happy song; now, Jacob and I know
that we weren't wrong;
To give another cat a chance;
It's enough to make our souls laugh and dance.
For, our pets are simply our sweet kids;
Of them, we never want to be rid.
We have been through a time of mourning for our cat who
passed away;
We had some very, very bad days.
Losing and gaining cats will keep us a little upset;
Because, rarely does other housing we can afford allow any
pets.
That is really what's keeping us here;
Laughing joyously, and sometimes shedding a tear.
For, without our babies, what would we be?;
Definitely not a happy family!
