Writing as a Teen #4: School, by jwhwz Subscribe to rss feed for jwhwz

I've always liked to write; I hardly ever stop;
This summer, I'm going away to Young Writer's Workshop.
I will be very homesick, with much confusion in my head;
And, I will surely wet my bed.
I like to write poetry and stories so short;
It's like writing a book report.
Because, at school, I try really hard;
To get good grades on my report card.
I get mostly A's and B's;
Not often do I get C's and D's.
I like being on the honor roll;
It is such a very good goal.
Because life at home is so crazy;
There is no time, concerning schoolwork, to be lazy.
So, for school, I work and work,
So nobody thinks I am a stupid jerk.
But, really it's the only aspect to which I saw the light of
dawn;
Because without brain surgery, it was extremely hard to go
on.
