Searching for Inspiration, by jwhwz

I wish it were not a silly riddle;
Of why I've never tried to whittle.
I have often taken a piece of wood;
And turned it into something good.
But, maybe I could do something better;
If I could be a professional cat-petter.
For touching cats is so relaxing;
I don't have to think about faxing;
It is not at all taxing;
And, it doesn't involve waxing.
But, I need a challenge often;
So, my little brain does not soften.
A note to myself; no blood art;
That is not a good place to start.
No tear art; nor glass art;
Gluing on a piece of wood would be smart.
So, I guess I'm back to poetry;
For, quite a writer I can be.
But, wait how about sad art;
That might be a good place to start.
For, in my work, I've always been happy;
Maybe sad art won't end up crappy. |
