Secrets, by Unintended Subscribe to rss feed for Unintended

Another secret, another friend.
If only you knew, I yearn
For you, for my hand to lend.
Have we missed a turn?

Perhaps the signs were there
When we looked for them,
They implied that we should pair
But silly us - we chose freedom

I guess dreams are for bedtime;
Reality turns its smug head
To blind us with fake sunshine
And trivial distractions ahead

We close this chapter
With things left unsaid.
Is this emotional rapture
Or the best decision instead?

I see a future,
Where I'll remember this maze.
A "what if" is likely to mature
Despite somebody taking your place
