How You Loved And Left Me, by deep_emotions Subscribe to rss feed for deep_emotions

you burnt me like a blue naked flame to the soft peach skin
you left to survive like the smouldering ashes from the camp
fire
you left me all alone like a lone wolf
you left me out on my own.

You’d hold my hand and never let go
As if letting go of my hand would mean you would die
you said I was you’re apple to your pie
but now you said goodbye

as you turned your back on me
the whole world went cold
went deep into darkness
just before it all fell apart

and now my heart is on the ground
in a ruby red squashed mess
you’ve left it out on the rubbish bin
left it for the wild wolves

now my heart is split up
all over the place
it’s been scattered by your hand
and I can’t find all the pieces

you have left it all for me to pick up
left it in the hardest way
I now have a quest
A quest to find who I am

So now it’s time to go
time to part
from my life you are erased
and all I’ll have
is a stranger in my poems.
